What a week for Oliver Downs

Track & Field

It’s been a busy week for up-and-coming U15 combined eventer Oliver Downs as this week saw three days with as many competitions culminating with the Kent, London and Middlesex schools Combined Events Championships at Lee Valley on Wednesday 24th May.

On the Monday (at the IEK Open) he ran a new personal best of 11.80s in the 80m hurdles (down from 12.10s the 3 weeks prior at the Kent Young Athletes League at Norman Park, Bromley) and a wind assisted personal best in the 100m of 12.01 (+2.3 m/s, down from his prior PB of 13.8s). On the Tuesday he competed for his school, Simon Langton, gaining a new PB in the discus (31.85m) and winning the Javelin with 42.25m before going to Lee Valley on the Wednesday.
