England Debut for Renata McDonnell
On Sunday 8th June, Renata McDonnell (coach Donald Carter) travelled to Wales to compete in the Swansea Half Marathon and England Masters Half Marathon Champs. Having qualified back in September with a fantastic race at the Redcar Half Marathon, Renata showed why she deserved that all-important England vest by finishing third fastest in the F50 category, and correspondingly third fastest English woman. Her finishing time of 1:25:58 was a new personal best, and improved her ranking from 14th to around 8th in England.
