3 athletes selected for England

Cross-Country 

Invicta East Kent athletic club had three athletes selected for England in the International Cross Cup In Belgium last Sunday which went ahead despite the gale force windy conditions.

Alex Milliard from Canterbury selected from her great run in the Southern England England cross country championships and her international debut went two places better on this occasion breaking away from the rest of the field with the eventual race winner on the flat sandy course around half distance and finishing just six seconds down at the finish in her first ever international appearance !
Matt Stonier also from Canterbury who won the Southern Counties race by the narrowest of sprint finishes took no chances in his Under 20 race breaking away at halfway and then not being challenged from there to the finish .
Charlie Brisley  also from Invicta East Kent AC the third athlete from the club to be selected chased Matthew home in 4th place just six seconds behind in an England whitewash the whole team finishing first to fourth .
Both England girls and boys under 20 teams won their respective team races in a very successful international appearance
