At the Invicta East Kent Athletics Club AGM on Monday 19th June 2023, it was agreed to increase membership fees for 2023-2024 year.
Junior and Senior Training fees will increase from £20/mo to £22/mo, with the discount of £5/sibling/mo still applying.
Non-training fees will increase from £65/year to £80/year and ad hoc session fees will increase from £2/session to £3/session.
These changes are due to increases in costs to register with England Athletics, increases in race entry fees and increased rent for use of the facilities. The increase in training and non-training fees will apply from the July direct debit. The increase to ad hoc session fees will apply from 1st July.
We continue to run the IEK Athlete Support Fund - if you are struggling financially and would like to request some support from the club, please contact either your coach or membershipsecretaryIEK@gmail.com for a confidential discussion.
A new role of Club Assistant was also ratified. Any athlete aged 14 or over can receive a 50% reduction in either training or non-training fees the subsequent year if they have done 12 hours of volunteering for the club in one calendar year. In the case of younger athletes, a family member could do the volunteering, and then elect to transfer their 'fee reduction' to another athlete within the same family group. Invicta East Kent AC reserves the right to restrict the number of Club Assistants at any one time, if needed.
