Congratulations to Invicta East Kent athletes who competed in this weekend’s English Schools Track and Field Championships in Birmingham.
Charlotte Heinrich (coached by Claire Battersby) had arguably the best results, winning her heat of the Senior (Years 12&13) Girls’ 200m in 24:13, and following it up with a win in the final in 24:11.
In the Senior Boys’ 3000m, Invicta East Kent had not one but two athletes in the field of 24. Alex Dack (coached by Donald Carter, Canterbury Endurance) finished fourth in 8:31:28 while Noah Paterson (also coached by Donald Carter, Canterbury Endurance) finished 12th in 8:41:03.
Georgina Kyte (coached by Mike Botha) went in the Senior Girls’ 400m hurdles to finish 5th in her heat, narrowly missing out on a place in the final.
