11 IEK members at UK's biggest Cross-country event

4 IEK Boys in Kent's golden team

Jason Prickett helps Kent to team silver

Seven of the 10 age groups had aAt least one IEK member representing Kent at Nottingham - no IEK in u-13 boys, Senior Men or Senior Women

Pride of place goes to our u-15 quartet who helped Kent to a much fancied team gold, ahead of Yorkshire. All 4 of our selected u-15 Boys made the top 70 in a race of over 300 best runners from 45 UK counties :

Hugo Hayes & Alex Newson made the top 30 as Kent's 2nd and 4th u-15 scorers, backed ably by the ever-improving Kieran Reilly and Jack Balsdon, 6th and 7th Kent finishers.

When the season began, Jason Prickett was 6th-7th in the Kent order and, benefiting from the club's regular training programme, has edged his way up to finish 4th Kent man just outside the top 50 and clinch team silver ahead of Warwickshire but behind Scotland West.

Beth Carter was 21st in the u-20 race as she forsook the chance of a challenge for individual u-17 gold by lining up in the 6km u-20 world XC team trial and suffered a severe stitch with only 1 km to go and Andy Cope was Kent's 8th finisher in the u-20 men's race.

Rebecca Weston had a torrid time in u-15 Girls while Emily Hosker Thornhill (u-17) was Kent's 6th finisher as she overcame an ankle injury sustained in training only two days earlier.

Sisters Alex and Bobby Clay were Kent's 4th & 5th runners (only 3 seconds apart) as they hovered around the top 50 to help Kent to 4th in the u-13 Girls 3km race.
