Ragnar relay volunteering opportunity

Ragnar originated in the U.S and now has 19 different races across North America. Taking the event to Europe and making it the biggest overnight relay in the world, Ragnar takes place on 22/23rd September 2018.

In short, it’s a 170 mile day/night/day overnight team relay (10 or 5 in a team) that starts in Sittingbourne, and follows the North Kent coastline all the way round to Dover, across to the Seven Sisters and into Brighton. The website is https://www.runragnar.com/uk/event-detail/relay/whitecliffs and there is a video at the bottom of the homepage which gives a bit more of a visual representation of the White Cliffs event.

As the route starts in Sittingbourne and runs along the North Kent coastline, there are a few exchange points not too far from Canterbury, two either side of Whitstable, and one a few miles further east.

An exchange is typically split into two shifts and these exchanges in particular are open for 7ish hours each. One is open from 8.15am-15.45, another from 9am-4.15pm, and 10am-5.30pm. We’d be looking for a minimum of 2-3 volunteers on each shift, the more volunteers the short the shift could be. Lunch and drinks will be supplied to you.

In terms of minimum age, it’s 14 years old but u16s must be accompanied by an adult.

In return they can offer you Reebok kit, free Brighton Marathon entry / Brighton Marathon 10K or they would make a financial donation to the club.

If anyone is interest in this opportunity to be apart of this event or requires more details please get in touch with Nikki at invictaek@gmail.com ASAP.

This is another great event to promote your club.
